The Beatitudes: For the 2022 summer months on Sunday mornings we will be going through the eight individual Beatitudes in Matthew chapter 5. You won’t find the word ‘Beatitude’ in the Bible but it comes from the Latin word beatus, which translates ‘blessed’ and refers to the teaching of Jesus in Matthew 5:3-12. Our first Sunday (June 12th) in the series is an introduction to the Beatitudes. Do come and join with us as we journey together through the Beatitudes. Each following Thursday evening at 8pm we will have our home group meeting in a home. We will be following on each Thursday from the previous Sunday and folloing a study guide where we can further ‘dig in’ to the Beatitudes looking at the Old Testament scriptures as they connect us to the New Testament and how these Beatitudes spoken by the Lord Jesus can be a challage to each of us as we live as children of God in this world around us. What do these Beatitudes teach us about God?
