Nineth sermon in the series “Believing God’s Promise” (Genesis 12-22) preached by Martin Parker on Sunday 17th March 2013. Text: Genesis 20. Abraham commits an all to familiar sin, based on false assumptions, half-truths and distrust. However, the Lord intervenes, revealing the truth, preventing evil and confronting sin. Yet there are signs of things to come: the Lord blesses Abraham in spite of his sin and the barren have children – God’s promises will be fufilled!
